string quartets

been quite a while since i last posted something up...let me say a bit more bout my job as a cellist.

besides doing solo cello performances, i do perform string quartets too. the picture above is my classical string quartet group from SSO. normally classical string quartets performances are for events that are more formal and professional.

here, this is a picture of my jazz string quartet group. most people have the misconception that classical instruments are meant for classical pieces only. but then with the change of time... classical instruments has underwent a great evolution. i do perform for jazz performances too.

hmm gtg now... will post up more different group performance pictures next time!

My name is Olivia and i am a cellist... basically, it means a person who plays the cello. i graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and has been in Singapore for a long time.

The cello is a family of the vion and resembles the violin. many people always have the impression that the cello is a very dull and boring instrument but actually its not. The mellow and soothing sound is something that many other instruments doesn't have.
